Monomyth or The Hero’s Journey

Today we introduced idea of the Hero’s Journey.  You need to remember the following things about the Hero’s Journey:

  1. All the literature we read will be viewed through the Hero’s Journey lens.
  2. The Monomyth is a pattern or series of steps found within many narratives or stories from around the world.  Some modern examples are The Matrix, Star Wars, The Lion King, etc.
  3. The point of the Monomyth is to analyze and ponder one’s own life journey.
