OF Mice and Men

We finished Chapter One and our conversation in class focused on the foreshadowing of George telling Lennie to meet him at the pool in case anything happens on the ranch. Given what happened in Weed, we can guess that the book will end or perhaps climax at this spot with Lennie and George in trouble again. This lead us to a great discussion about the cirular nature of the overall plot and the fact that since we know where the book is headed, we are more focused on how the characters are going to get there, rather than on where they are going.
