Critical Lens Essay
Today we introduced the Critical Lens Essay. The lens statement was “You must take life the way it comes at you and and make the best of it.” In class we wrote the following:
The statement “You must take life the way it comes at you and and make the best of it” from Yann Mortel has two parts. The first part is ‘taking life the way it comes’. This part means that we get good stuff and bad stuff in our lives and we can’t control that. Making the ‘best of it’ means just deal with it and don’t feel sorry for yourself. I agree with this statement.
Your homework for Monday is to do the same thing with another critical lens statement. Remember to give the statement, provide an interpretation of what it means, and then agree or disagree with the statement.
For Monday’s homework, please use this critical lens statement:
“To gain that which is worth having, it may be necessary to lose everything else.”
