Perks of Being A Wallflower
Our last song is the theme song from M.A.S.H, Suicide is Painless. I think that we have learned from the book that suicide is not painless, it effects many people in different ways. Use the comment feature below to give me a couple of ideas that you have on how suicide has impacted Charlie’s life. Some thing to thing about:
- Do you think Michael or Aunt Helen would have reconsidered their choice if they had know the impact on Charlie?
- It is easy to see the damage done to Charlie by these suicides, but has Charlie gained any insights, knowledge, or strength from the experience of suicides of his aunt and friend?

so this is mercedes!
I think that suicide is a horrible thing and i would not wish it upon anybody. In th book i think that aunt helens suicide and michaels suicide has impacted charlies life. He loved his aunt and i think because of what she said before she left it made him feel some what responisible. I dont think that aunt helen would have changed her mind if she new that it would effect him because i think that she just cares more about herself then anybody else. I dont know if michael would because i dont feel like i know enough about him to make that decision.
Please tell me in class if this is actually homework. Yes i think that Aunt helen would have reconsidered but i don’t think michael would have. As for the second question. What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.
