LISTENING SELECTION
Today we began a new listening selection on the Greek philosopher Socrates. We identified a thesis statement from the task and two questions to help us pull important information. We listened to the selection once and then worked to organized our ideas and details before the second listening, which will happen in class tomorrow.

GILGAMESH
For tomorrow, please identify and explain three elements that support the theme of friendship in Gilgamesh. You may make a list, or thinking map, or write a quick paragraph. We talked quickly about the friendship between Enkidu and Gilgamesh as being one element that supports this theme. Below, find the notes from today.

GILGAMESH
Today we finished Tablet III, and began Tablets IV and V. Enkidu and Gilgamesh have gotten the blessing of Ninsun, Gilgameshes mom, and of the elders. They leave for the cedar forest. We will try to finish the story on Monday.
