THE CRUCIBLE and THE LIBERTY CONFERENCE
Please remember to turn in PERMISSION SLIPS for the Liberty Conference by Wednesday.
The questions for Act 2 Part ii are due tomorrow.
As we have been discussion the issues of censorship, privacy, and equal protections, I’d like to focus a bit on the play. We discussed in class that women were the most likely targets of witchcraft accusations and therefore were not protected equally with men. For Wednesday, please find examples of censorship and privacy invasions in the play. Of course, you may use today’s standards of these issues as in 1692, they were not formalized under the U.S. Constitution.
