Today we discussed love as an attachment, and Siddhartha’s rebirth/baptism in the river. I think some of you may be having trouble with the idea of “non-attachment” being different from “detachment.” Keep asking questions.

Today we discussed Siddhartha’s first meeting with Vasudeva the ferryman, the girl at the well, and finally with Kamala. He begins his journey from Samana to merchant in this chapter and appears to be taking Kamala on as a teacher.
